Ongoing Work – Top Tier Transcriptionist

Ongoing Work – Top Tier Transcriptionist

Date Posted: 06/03/2025
Job Type: N/A

Job Description:

I am the owner of ADA Transcription. We are a transcription company that specializes in academic research and we are looking to add another Top Tier Transcriptionist (or two) to our absolutely incredible team of elite professionals. Our clients include universities and research facilities across the country. You can be proud to work with a growing company where your work really makes a difference.

I’m looking for people willing to request a minimum of 300 minutes of audio per week. You set your own schedule, and that schedule can change weekly. And it needn’t be EVERY single week. Life happens and we’re supportive of that. But ultimately we’re looking for serious professionals who want regular work. (We also do NOT guarantee 300 minutes every week.)

You send a schedule every week with what days you want your requested work DUE. It gets assigned to you two days before the deadline. (ALL work is 2-day turnaround to you)

Transcriptionists should be able to take notes, and work closely with a proofreader. We need people who understand that the final transcript needs to be consistent and follow our guidelines very closely.

Pay: During PROBATION (first 4-6 weeks, or less) pay is 85 cents per audio minute, for two-speaker audio with a two-day turnaround. During probation you have proofreaders working with you closely and afterwards, pay goes to 95-$1.03 cents per audio minute for two-speaker audio with a two-day turnaround to you.

Job Requirements:

We are looking for professionals with GENERAL transcription experience. While medical experience can be great, and the terminology itself can be VERY useful (much of our academic work is clinical or medical in nature), medical transcription is truly a different animal.

• Must have elite accuracy, ability to work closely with a proofreader, and be extremely reliable on deadlines.

• MUST reside in the US.

• Must understand the ebb and flow of ongoing transcription work.

To apply, please send your resume, and let me know how this position would work into your current business. Also please address these questions:
As an average, about how long do you anticipate working on an hour of one-on-one audio?
2) Tell me about some of your recent GENERAL transcription work
3) Do you have experience working with style guides?

Be prepared to receive detailed information on the job and be ready to complete two small (less than 5 minute) test files.

Thank you for your time. I truly have the BEST team in the world. We have an incredible and supportive operating system that works well for everyone. Many of our transcriptionists have been with us for more than ten years. I look forward to adding one of you to our outstanding team.
